Knife robberies fall and County Lines gangs dismantled: The UK government has achieved significant success in reducing knife-point robberies by 15% since June last year, compared to a 14% rise in 2024. The Cabinet agreed to use a compulsory purchase order (CPO) to acquire land for the new road, which could lead to a public inquiry into the scheme. Green group leader Stef Simmons also criticised the lack of a full strategic business case for the project.
