In April 2026, HHR volunteers attended the Rose Gardens Retirement Village in Hereford for their Easter fundraising event where more than £260 was raised for the station. Andy Williams, Mia Bishop and William Turtle-Clark, along with Chris Hughes in the studio, played music and broadcasts across the airwaves, took song requests, and judged the Easter bonnet competition!

On Saturday 1st August 2026, Hereford Hospital Radio supported Ross Town Council with the launch of the Ross Carnival. As the first time the event had taken place since 2019, getting it back on the road was a massive undertaking for the Town Council and its team of volunteers. Over 2,000 people attended on the day, enjoying a variety of activities along the riverside. A dog show kicked off proceedings, featuring many local canines judged by owners of dog parlours in the town. The carnival was also supported by many Ross businesses that helped subsidise running costs. The main highlight was a parade from Cantilupe Road through the town to the river, where entrants in their colourful costumes and themed displays were judged upon arrival. Hereford Hospital Radio managed the staging and production, and team members were delighted to be invited by the Town Council to support such a wonderful community occasion.

If you would like Hereford Hospital Radio to help support your event, please contact us by email to: hello@hhr.org.uk. We would be excited to help raise money for your local event while taking the responsibility of the various acts and stage events from you.

In October 2012, the station was delighted to be awarded a £10,000 grant from the National Lottery to improve the service offered to hospital patients. HHR was featured during the Lotto draw on the BBC's Lottery Show.
